Garda Gravel Weekend

The itinerary approaches the moraine hills of the Terre del Custoza following secondary roads in the countryside and pleasant dirt roads. While we pedal on roads surrounded by vineyards and ancient olive groves, the shining Lake Garda begins to peek out from the modest hills that surround it.

After a pleasant gravel style descent, we finally arrive by the shores of the lake near the beautiful village of Garda and we follow the coast to Bardolino: it is impossible to resist a refreshing dip!

We go back the farmhouse cycling on country roads among the hills that lead up to Peschiera del Garda and finally following the course of the Mincio river.

The route explores the hills of Southern Lake Garda, where enchanting medieval villages arise between rolling green hills. The itinerary follows the course of the Mincio river and its canals and then heads towards the hills along slightly undulated roads that often turn into fascinating solitary dirt roads. After crossing Volta Mantovana and Cavriana, we admire the view from the top of Solferino (Orange Flag village TCI), dominated by the Rocca, and we reach the pretty historic center of Castiglione delle Stiviere. We cross the large cultivated fields until the farmhouse: there we can still enjoy a refreshing swim in the pool!
