Peschiera del Garda is one of the most lively and charming villages by Lake Garda, recently listed as a UNESCO Heritage Site thanks to its majestic Venetian walls that surrounds the old town. Peschiera del Garda is the perfect base for exploring the lake area by bike: the hilly countryside, the ancient villages, the immense vineyards and olive groves and the beautiful coastline. If you like, explore other beautiful attractions of the region, such as Valpolicella, Valtenesi and the cities of Verona and Mantua.

Tour Itinerary

Welcome in Peschiera!

In the late afternoon: Bike delivery, bike fitting and question time.

DAY 1 - Sirmione and Lugana

35 km, +300 mt

Exploring the area of the famous Lugana wine (please, taste it!), we cycle on secondary roads and charming dirty roads that lead us to some of the most beautiful villages of the area. Ponti sul Mincio, Monzambano and Pozzolengo feature a calm and bucolic atmosphere and massive medieval castles.

We cross the countryside until the tower of San Martino della Battaglia, symbol of the Italian Risorgimento, and finally we end up in the charming Sirmione: take the time to visit the village! We eventually go back to Peschiera del Garda following a bike path.

DAY 2 - The Eastern shore: Garda, Bardolino and Lazise

40 km, +450 mt

Looking for the best spots to enjoy the Lake’s panorama, we cross some typical villages such as Colà, famous for the hot spring and Affi, that features a charming centre with cobbled streets and colourful houses. After cycling on country roads, we ride to Bardolino. If you want, add 10 km to reach Garda, the village that gives the name to the lake: take the time to visit the village and its beautiful bay.

Now the ride sticks by the shore and crosses the village of Lazise. Finally, we get back to Peschiera del Garda following inland roads.

DAY 3 - Custoza and Borghetto sul Mincio

45 km, +290 mt

Custoza area it’s a charming and authentic region. We head inland cycling on roads flanked by elegant cypresses surrounded by vineyards. We cycle among small rolling hills, the road goes slightly up and down util we get to the panoramic Custoza hill, overlooked by a hight obelisk, built for commemorating the soldiers that died here during the Italian Independence wars.

We head now to Borghetto sul Mincio, a real-life fairytale village that features beautiful watermills, a castle and a massive fortified bridge: relax and enjoy a plate of tortellini, the local typical filled pasta.

Finally, we go back to Peschiera del Garda following the river Mincio bike path.

In the evening, bike pick up and greetings. Goodbye!
