Bolzano to Verona
We wait for you in the shop at about 6 pm for bike fitting.
69 km / Flat / All bike path
The local train needs less than 2 hours from Verona Porta Nuova to Bolzano. Once arrived, take the time to visit Walter Square, the narrow alleys of the city, (say hello to Ötzi mummy if you like!) and to taste the typical Laugen Brezel bread. Then get on the bike and head South on smooth and safe bike paths. The green Adige valley, the apple trees, the vineyards are all around you, enjoy the easy ride until the historical and modern Trento.
54 km / Mainly flat / Almost all bike path
Let’s leave Trento and get back along the river Adige, cycling in a territory spotted with castles, towers and forts, such as the majestic Beseno Castle, overlooking the valley from the top of a hill. Have a stop in Rovereto! From there to reach Riva del Garda, you’ll need to face the only climb of the day, but so worthy: the Lake suddenly shows up, shiny and wide under you! Time to get on the ferry which slowly takes you to Garda.
37 km / +150 m / Some uphill / Secondary roads and bike paths
The road follows the Lake shore for the first part and than heads inland, up the morenic hills around the Lake, with the scent of olives and the shades of cypresses. By a flat canal, with Valpolicella valley on a side, you’ll finally reach Verona, with the bridges, the famous Arena, the many stories. Welcome, it’s time for a good glass in osteria. Salute!
Return the bikes at the shop. Greetings.
