Valdadige: an outdoor paradise

The evocative landscape of the Adige Valley, the Ceraino Canyon, the Austro-Hungarian forts and the surrounding green nature: Valdadige is an outdoor paradise! We start our bike ride in Volargne. The bike path is located on the left bank of the Adige river and sticks by the water for the first part. We admire the S-shape of the water, the high cliffs, Fort Wohlgemuth on the right and Forte Molinary on the other side. The ride goes than into the vineyards, some of them are quite old: the sandy ground protected the plants from dangerous insects. The bike ride is easy, with sweet up and downs. We head North and pedal for about 10 km: a distance that can be suitable for active kids and teens. We reach the winery Albino Armani, which owner supported strongly the the construction of the cycle path. On request, you can taste its great local wine. The lunch break is free. You can bike to a small trattoria or have your sandwich among the vineyards. At 2 pm we grab the paddles, put on the life jackets and get ready for the rafting experience down the river: what a scenografic experience!
