This tour, divided into five stages, fully explores the queen island of the Tuscan archipelago: an MTB adventure that combines the technical aspect of the trip with the more enjoyable ones. Pay attention also to the descents, with technical paths but always addressed in safety, thanks to the constant presence of the 365tv staff who will also give us useful advice on cycling technique. The tour is based at “Residence il Mandorlo” in Lacona, a bike hotel with pump track and swimming pool, a strategic point to explore both the western and eastern sectors of the island and to take advantage of refreshing swims at the end of the bike days. Level: suitable for intermediate / expert bikers. Bike: full-suspension cross country / trail MTB recommended. In case of front suspension XC bike, good riding technique required. In case of Enduro bike, good training is required. Possibility to rent top full-suspension e-MTB. Protections: helmet and knee pads are mandatory (open or modular helmet recommended). Guide: 1 MTB expert instructor.

6 pm Welcome drink at Residence il Mandorlo and briefing, where we will explain the stages in detail. Dinner in a partner restaurant.
Overnight in Lacona – Residence il Mandorlo ***
Easy technical level stage. We cross the island from south to north, climbing over Colle Reciso to take an ancient military road. Simple descent towards Acquabona and towards Enfola: a promontory of rare beauty. Perfect place also for a lunch break. Return with return on Colle Reciso and fun descent we arrive in Lacona, destination of the day.

We’ll arrive in Marciana by shuttle, at 375 m above sea level, which rises at the base of Monte Capanne, the highest point of the island with its 1019m. We continue to climb along an ancient road towards Madonna del Monte, a sanctuary surrounded by greenery. Up here it takes a path full of colors and scents that leads us, via an uphill technical path, to the most difficult descent, namely the Semaforo (altitude 744 m): a very technical descent that takes us swooping to Chiessi. In this small beach we can relax by drinking and eating something in an extraordinary context. Afterwards you return to the hotel from the Costa del Sole by simple paths interspersed with asphalt.

Ring tour from Lacona that reaches, after about 18 km, one of the most fascinating points of the island: Masso alla Quata on Monte Perone. From there we face one of the most spectacular descents of the tour, the triptych Cielo Alto – Sassi Ritti – Roman Columns. The reward after all this tiring fun is in Cavoli, with a lunch break on one of the most beautiful beaches on Elba. The return is easy, along internal roads, towards Lacona.

The itinerary first runs alongside the prison – still in operation – with magnificent views of the beaches of Barbarossa and Reale, then passes through an area of ancient mines, where we can see the small lake of Terra Nera, a lake of mining origin. We pass by the village of Rio nell’Elba and then go up to Monte Capannello, which offers a 360 degree view of the entire island. We face the technical descent of le Scalette and arrive in Bagnaia for a break. From there return to Lacona by shuttle.

Today’s route takes place among the paths of Monte Calamita, theater of the MTB World Championships: based on the condition of the participants, the length of the excursion will be decided: fun is guaranteed, the paths are super flow with a crazy view. There will be no shortage of passages at the Vallone and Punta Calamita mines. Lunch break at Tenuta delle Ripalte, a wonderful resort within the Costa dei Gabbiani Protected Park, just before returning to Lacona by shuttle.
